NORFOLK

After an exhaustive search, Navy and Coast Guard assets ended their efforts just after sunset June 9 for a Sailor assigned to the guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60).

Fire Controlman 2nd Class Christopher W. Clavin went overboard June 6 at about 3 p.m. while Normandy was conducting training 80 miles off the coast of Cherry Point, North Carolina.
