FORT CARSON, Colo. — One of Colorado's prominent military bases locked down Thursday afternoon amid an active "situation," information officers reported.

The U.S. Army base confirmed the lockdown shortly after 4 p.m., but declined to release additional details.

No evacuations have been listed.

Denver7 is working to learn more details and will update this story as nore is known.

FORT CARSON, Colo. — A suspect is in custody following a shooting that left one person injured at Fort Carson late Thursday afternoon. All gates and facilities are also open.
