The media seem to have a blind spot when it comes to the details of this plan.  Developing countries continue to pollute for decades, while our industrial jobs naturally shift to the countries with cheaper energy.  Our emissions will be dwarfed and we'll be too poor to deal with the climatological effects.  The GOP should beat the Dems over the head with this.  It's worse than Obamacare.

Facts trump hysteria.   According to this morning's WSJ:

Energy intensity - the amount of energy necessary to create a dollar of gross national product - has plunged 58% in the U.S. since 1990, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.  Over the same period,  intensity declined merely 37% in OECD  Europe, 20% in Japan, 22%  in Mexico and 7% in Korea.

The fact is that economic growth creates the conditions for true virtue with respect to the environment - because it is growth that underwrites the technological progress that improves efficiency, reduces waste and creates the wealth necessary to address the consequences of climate change.   

The Paris Accords' only value is that of virtue-signaling.   But deeds trump words.   The United States has proven that it can create more wealth while using less resources.   It is folly for us to surrender our advantages, our prosperity and our sovereignty so China can keep on belching so much damn coal smoke their citizens wear masks while walking the street.

Exactly correct. The Paris Agreement was never as much about climate as it was about wealth redistribution, the largest target of which was, and is the United States.

I think it violates The Paris Accord. Ever since the country was selected as host for the 2020 Olympic Games, law enforcement officials have cracked down. Now, if school girls want to sell their used panties, or bodily fluids, they need to provide an ID showing they’re older than 18 and no longer enrolled in high school. I guess this adds to a more "musky" quality!
