The MV-22 Osprey Packs Some Real Firepower Even If You Can't See It

One of the first things to notice about the MV-22 Osprey is its clean lines. It's arguably too clean, no stubby cannon barrels, machine guns, or rockets poking out of the airplane's sleek profile. But that doesn't mean the tiltrotor airplane is defenseless.
Adding weapons to the Osprey has always been a difficult task. The aircraft's large helicopter-like propellers/rotors prevent users from hanging guns and rockets from the wings, and the wings themselves block the use of side-mounted machine guns such as those used in the UH-60 Blackhawk.
