He's considered the founding father of British blues; some of the best musicians of the breed served apprenticeships in his
early Blues Incorporated groups, including four Rolling Stones (Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Charlie Watts),
practically every member of the Graham Bond Organisation (including Bond, multi-saxophonist Dick Heckstall-Smith, and
future Cream rhythm section Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker), British harp legend Cyril Davies (died of leukemia in 1964),
Long John Baldry, Rod Stewart, and Jimmy Page before he became a studio hound.
