What has Trump's White House got to party about? Mystery 'disco' lights on the second floor spark a flurry of speculation... but a passing ambulance is to blame
Daily Mail, May 30, 2017

The mystery red 'disco' lights spotted on the second floor of the White House on Sunday night sparked a flurry of speculation on Twitter.

The flashing lights were spotted at about 8.30pm by TV cameras regularly set up to record the White House.

But when the Secret Service wouldn't initially say what was behind the strobe-like lights, Twitter naturally went into overdrive with potential theories.

The speculation ranged from President Trump throwing a rave, him transmitting a code to Russia and even an orb malfunction.

But it turns out the real reason actually had nothing to do with Trump.

The Secret Service told the New York Post the lights were from the reflection of an ambulance that was responding to an incident on the street outside the White House.

'The red lights had nothing to do with the White House,' a Secret Service spokesperson said.

An ambulance and fire truck were called to nearby Lafayette Park after a man fell ill on a park bench. Emergency services treated the man for about 40 minutes at the scene.
