President Donald Trump on Tuesday took to Twitter to again call for the end of the Senate filibuster so that healthcare and tax reform can get passed "fast and easy."

If the Dems do take back the Senate and the Filibuster is gone, we would be screaming for it.. Just saying.

Dems don't need to do it.  They've already got Obamacare.  They've got the simple majority on Judges below the Supreme Court level.

Anything else Mitch McConnell will be more than happy to help them get passed with out the need for a simple majority vote.

If anything...IMHO...the Dems would make it more difficult to pass things than to make it easier...at least until 2020.

I've never cared for the fillibuster, OTOH, eventually that will be all that is between the US and Democrats.

But the Senate has always been seen as a deliberative body.  And I wouldn't call Ancient Rome "relatively new".

Filibuster or not. To say we need to get things done "fast and easy" was not the intention of our founders and for good reason. We have come so far from the beginning I have no hope left that this Republic can be saved. And surely it won't be by any POTUS that doesn't understand the principles upon which this nation was founded.
