I don't believe that true conservatives hate liberals. We are aware that hating somebody takes up too much of our precious time on earth. We tend to pray for our enemies and also attempt to change their hearts. My original fear has become true: Trump has redefined conservativism. Pointing out liberals' lies is one thing, and I'm glad conservatives are starting to do it, but using hate is simply devolving into liberal thought. That won't end well. Family should come first but is that really why you are siding with them?     

Liberals are the ones that have advocated jail for climate change deniers. 
Liberals are the ones pushing the murder of unborn.   
Liberals are the ones advocating taking peoples money by force.

I could go on but we all know that liberals are more than willing to use force to push their opinion on others.  They just prefer to use the govt to apply that force.

No it doesn't.  Hate is good for you.  What is bad for you is pretending that you don't hate them.  They deserve to be hated.  I'm quite at peace with my hate.

But really.... is it really ""hate"" that we feel for those who seek to destroy our way of life, our country, our freedom which includes freedom of speech and every other kind of freedom that our founders set forth in the constitution to safeguard those freedoms? 

I don't think so.  I don't call it hate.  I call it having a keen sense of justice and, pardon the expression, a keen sense of 'the right'.  I call it discernment of who, exactly, are our real enemies.... without AND within our country and our government.  You first have to identify the threat before you can combat it.  It's not hate to identify the rabid left (some call them commies) as that threat.  It's truth and logic.

Now, if we all went out and rounded up all those enemies and then proceeded to torture and slaughter them all, sans trial..... (lol)....

now THAT would be hate.

I do enjoy seeing Conservative solid people on the street calling out Liberal filth now a days. Never saw that before.

Ann Coulter is the closest to do so of which I have been aware,   but she's gone wobbly in the last five years.  Sometimes she's right on target,  and at other times she's out there in loony land. 


Prior to her was P.J. O'rourke.   He could slam Liberals better than anyone else in his heyday.

I think people create mental categories that do not actually exist in reality.   Take this word "hate"  that is being bandied about.   I think it means different things to different people.   


I think "hate"  is a normal emotional response to things that don't go our way,   and it  may or may not focus on the person we perceive as responsible for them.

Depends completely on which side wins control of the armed forces.

It always devolves to tribalism.  People always side with whatever Tribe to which they believe they are a part.

Plus they outnumbered the South 4 to 1.   They could keep throwing bodies into it long after the South had exhausted all their available people.    That is in fact what they did.

Depends completely on which side wins control of the armed forces. 

Control of the armed forces isn't an either/or.  If it came down to a shooting war, the armed forces would likely be deeply divided internally.  We can hope that the majority of the troops would abide by their oaths and move to protect the Constitution, but there's no guarantee this would happen.  And the flag ranks are less likely to abide by their oaths than the lower ranks, in my opinion.
