The Latest: Trump to Take Travel Ban to Supreme Court
Attorney General Jeff Sessions says the Justice Department will ask the Supreme Court to review an appeals court ruling that blocked President Donald Trump's travel ban.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Latest on an appeals court ruling against the Trump administration's travel ban (all times local):

5:40 p.m.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions says the Justice Department will ask the Supreme Court to review an appeals court ruling that blocked President Donald Trump's travel ban.

The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Thursday ruled 10-3 against the travel ban. The decision bars the administration from suspending new visas for visitors from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

Sessions says the Justice Department "strongly disagrees" and will continue to vigorously defend Trump's order. He says the court's ruling blocks Trump's "efforts to strengthen this country's national security."

Well, I've been waiting for this and we will see exactly how Gorsuch rules on this.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

The courts don't care about the nations security.  They just care about making political rulings which score them points with the liberal media and their liberal buddies.

Many of the courts have been stacked with liberals over the past several election cycles ... however, SCOTUS is supposed to interpret the law to decide whether or not it is Constitutional...nothing more...it cannot (or at least should not) rewrite law or rule based on partisanship. Hopefully, this is where Gorsuch comes in.  Does the president have the authority under the Constitution to ban travel to the U.S. from particular areas?  At least in my mind that is all ... the law has absolutely nothing to do with religion which is from what I'm understanding the lower courts are objecting to.
