VIP level protection in Pakistan. You're not getting her out (or him) with less than a SEAL team.
Well, another possibility, EC: drone home. (Sorry, I couldn't resist).

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Wow. Thanks for that link. So much has made so little sense for so long, people were just beginning to think they were nuts. I wonder how many Republicans are in similar straits? Maybe that would explain some behaviour on the Hill.

Shouldn't the FBI be the ones investigating this? Or is this the Hillary method of investigation?

This has all the look of a seriously big problem.

Since it just went international, I would reckon it is the jurisdiction of the spooks.

Elsewhere, maybe, but there is some serious investigating that needs to be done right in the swamp, before the servers get wiped.

They were IT. There will be no trace.

I guess I don't know that - If they were general IT staff, or if they worked for a particular senate or house office... and even if IT, what positions were held. But even as helldesk, I could easily copy data and get it out of the building before uploading.

Of everyone who must be above reproach and political affiliation, it should be IT... even foremost.

The implication members are being blackmailed doesn't say good things.

Add a "randomly" murdered staffer and allegations from Wikileaks that he passed on e-mails and this plot increases in viscosity, too.

Which begs the question; If they can find this stuff why can't our professionally trained investigative people find it?

"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

This one may be responsive to that: http://dailycaller.com/2017/03/09/suspect-in-house-it-security-probe-also-had-access-to-dnc-emails/

I would be very surprised if the servers weren't wiped long ago.

As I remember it, these guys were fired shortly after a covert operation went wrong and some of our people died. It was clear the enemy knew we were coming and the story implied that these IT people may well have had something to do with the leaked intelligence.
