Schumer demands transcript of Trump-Russia meeting

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) urged the White House to release unedited transcripts from President Donald Trump’s meeting with top Russian officials last week to Capitol Hill following reports that Trump shared highly classified information with the two men.

Arguing that the Trump administration is in a “crisis of credibility,” the Senate’s top Democrat stressed that the reporting, if accurate, means Trump “may have badly damaged our national security, nothing less, and in several ways.”

The Latest: Senate intel chairman wants WH to call him

Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr says he has yet to get an explanation from the White House on what happened in the Oval Office meeting where the president reportedly shared classified information with the Russians.

Burr says he waited all morning to get a call from someone in the room who can tell him what happened. He says: "Maybe they're busy."

Burr tells a small group of reporters in the Capitol that: "My major concern right now is that I don't know what the president said."

Burr added: "I'd like to think somebody from the White House who was in the room is going to get on the phone and tell me what they said."

It could be argued (I'm not, so don't even think it) that Burr has some standing to know what exactly was discussed - he is chair of the intelliegence committee and they're usually given information in parallel with the President.

Schumer though? He's got no skin in that game.

Poor Chuckie. He was soooo certain the Shrillery would win and that the DemocRATs would then be able to fix the elections forever. He expected to appoint 2 or 3 more Ginsburg whackjobs to the USSC thus assuring nothing would stand in the way of the totalitarian socialist state. But it all fell apart.
