FOX News national security expert Catherine Herridge told The Five last night that FBI Director James Comey was fired because he refused to reveal the Obama administration “unmaskers” to President Trump.

The Obama administration spied on and unmasked the identities and conversations of several Americans in 2016 including officials close to President-elect Donald Trump.

I thnk Comey was an Obama puppet.  Obama didn't really like Hillary so he probably didnt want her to win.

I like her, but I wonder why the White House wouldn't just come out and say this was the reason.  There is no legitimate justification for withholding from the President the names of someone from a prior Administration who ordered unmasking.  None.

Last evening, Levin was playing a clip of testimony that the witness (Yates?) said that the unmasked name is available only to the person who requested the unmasking. It was actually Linda  Graham who elicited that.

Would NSA give that up to FBI?

Yet another reason for him to go. Obstructing justice on possible illegal activities. I wonder why the whole scandal seemed to die in it's tracks.

Unmasking?

As in Valerie Plame?  Seems to me I remember a solid two years of 24/7 media outrage over the Plame Affair but now that Obama did the same to hundreds of people it's all perfectly fine.  I must be missing something.

I believe Comey is a Bammy puppet; but keep in mind if Hillary goes down so will he.  If she won ... he had nothing to worry about as all the cover-ups would continue on as before.  She lost and now the walls aren't quite as solid as they once were.  They haven't crumbled completely, but there are now some structural defects.

She said he was getting information Comey was 'slow walking' the process.  She never said he refused to do it.  Hoft's sensationalism isn't helpful.

Other than sensationalizing what she actually said in the headline the story here is dead on accurate.  It should not take long at all to know who was unmasked, who ordered their unmasking, and why they were unmasked.  Comey is a 100% political hack and I am very glad he is gone.

Yes - but you're missing my point.  Earlier today, CNN and WaPo were pushing the narrative Comey was fired after he requested more funding for the investigation.  It was denied by Justice and rightfully called fake news.  So is this headline.  Our side doesn't need that.
