In July of last year, law enforcement suffered their worst day since 9/11 when five Dallas police officers were killed at the hands of Micah Xavier Johnson, a former soldier for the U.S. Army Reserve. Johnson had been enraged over recent police killings of African-Americans.

Above all, however, he wanted to kill white people – with the hopes of starting a race war.
