President Donald Trump signaled Friday that he may not implement a 25-year-old federal program that helps historically black colleges finance construction projects on their campuses, suggesting that it may run afoul of the Constitution.

In a signing statement on the $1.1 trillion omnibus government spending bill, Trump singled out the Historically Black College and University Capital Financing Program as an example of provisions in the funding bill “that allocate benefits on the basis of race, ethnicity, and gender.”

How else can the US dole out billions in the Pigford case, or contribute any to a black university?  Or how can affirmative action be construed as anything but reparations?

What's frightening is that they* would rather live in taxpayer funded squalor and remain ignorant than actually work hard to accomplish something.

A few years ago on some internet political forum I had a discussion with a self-identified black person about HBCUs.  I said that their time had ended, there was no need for these types of colleges anymore.
The black person stated that all-black colleges were still needed because black students needed space away from (evil) white people. I put evil in there because that is what the person meant.
According to this person black students were unsafe studying with white students at non-black universities. I disagreed, and we ended our discussion.
Obviously, the time for segregated universities has long passed.  If blacks think all-black colleges and universites are wonderful, why couldn't other ethnicities insist on the same thing? Well, we all know what woul happen then.....all white, or all whatever ethnicities other than black would be labeled racist.  Why aren't all-black colleges and universities racist then?  Just ask a liberal to get the answer.
