Rand Paul requests info on whether Obama surveilled him

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) says he has asked the intelligence community and White House for any evidence that he was surveilled by former President Barack Obama.

"I have formally requested from the WH and the Intel Committees info on whether I was surveilled by Obama admin and or the Intel community!" Paul tweeted Friday.

The tweet appears to build off of President Trump's claim, presented without evidence, that the Obama administration wiretapped Trump Tower during last year's presidential race.

Go after them Rand!  Cruz, Walker, Runio, Huckabee, Christie, Kasich (ya right), Fiorina, Carson, Bush, Gilmore, Jindal, and Perry should all be jumping on board.

It's amazing how much the Bammy administration has gotten away with.  They continue to go after Trump with their 'Russian' accusations ... yet Lynch, Bammy and Hillary remain virtually unaccountable.

Go after them Rand!  Cruz, Walker, Runio, Huckabee, Christie, Kasich (ya right), Fiorina, Carson, Bush, Gilmore, Jindal, and Perry should all be jumping on board.

Pat Buchanan was in charge of "opposition research" in the Nixon administration, yet managed to escape the Watergate scandal. The guys that got caught, did it with "electronic surveillance."

If the GOP can take down some from the Obama administration, great. Hopes for that to be Obama himself, are wishful naïve thinking.

There is opposition research which is legal, and there is abuse of national security methodology which is illegal.

Maybe a few of Sen. Paul's colleagues could step up to the same plate, and call for hearings on abuse of government resources, for partisan political purposes.

And to put forth names, dates, specifics if they have them.
