What do you care?  You vote Dem anyway.  You should be happy.

I am happy - I think it's a good bill,  that addresses a number of conservative priorities.

And no,  I don't vote Dem.   We're part of the same party, whether you like it or not.

The "article" can say whatever it wants regarding the matter.

@Jazzhead just said that it's 'Normal' for each chamber to write their own version, and once that's set, they mingle them to create the final bill/law.

We tried last evening @DCPatriot to explain how the system works .. but it appears to be impossible to break through the talking points of many here.

Obamacare is DEAD! Even if it leaves some debris behind that we will have to clean up.
A good start .. here are some highlights ..
- Abolishes the Obamacare Individual Mandate Tax which hits 8 million Americans each year.
- Abolishes the Obamacare Employer Mandate Tax. Together with repeal of the Individual Mandate Tax repeal this is a $270 billion tax cut.
- Abolishes Obamacare’s Medicine Cabinet Tax which hits 20 million Americans with Health Savings Accounts and 30 million Americans with Flexible Spending Accounts. This is a $6 billion tax cut.
- Abolishes Obamacare’s Flexible Spending Account tax on 30 million Americans. This is a $20 billion tax cut.
- Abolishes Obamacare’s Chronic Care Tax on 10 million Americans with high out of pocket medical expenses. This is a $126 billion tax cut.
- Abolishes Obamacare’s HSA withdrawal tax. This is a $100 million tax cut.
- Abolishes Obamacare’s 10% excise tax on small businesses with indoor tanning services. This is a $600 million tax cut.
- Abolishes the Obamacare health insurance tax. This is a $145 billion tax cut.
- Abolishes the Obamacare 3.8% surtax on investment income. This is a $172 billion tax cut.
- Abolishes the Obamacare medical device tax. This is a $20 billion tax cut.
- Abolishes the Obamacare tax on prescription medicine. This is a $28 billion tax cut.

I don't know if I would go as far as she did in declaring Obamacare dead but if what we get at the end of the day retains most of this it will be a great victory.

The sad fact of the matter is none of that savings...if it's actually in there will ever be realized because under Obamacare Lite the Federal government is still subsidizing the insurance companies to the tune of 300-400 billion a year.
The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years. The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.

ObamaCare isn't by any means "dead".  In fact, the GOPers are walking it around DC a la "Weekend At Bernies" while they pretend they did something wonderful for Americans vs. to Americans.  Once again, the American voters are the ones being betrayed by these corrupt, statist aholes.   They obviously want government controlled healthcare, just like the Democrats do.  Free markets be damned.  Taxpayers.... don't bend over.  If this new GOP-legislated entitlement (new subsidy = refundable tax credit) survives, the costs will go up and taxpayers WILL be on the hook.....

as usual.

On the up side.... there will no doubt be lots and lots of new job openings at the IRS now.
No quarter given to the enemy within...ever.

You can vote your way into socialism, but you have to shoot your way out of it.

We'll just have to wait and see what emerges.   One thing's clear - any bill will be the product of a center-right coalition.   Same as the House bill

because brand new $190 billion entitlement programs is such a conservative thing to do
