President Donald Trump will select his next Supreme Court nominee from the same list of 21 candidates his campaign produced during the 2016 general election, should another vacancy arise on the high court.

The president told The Washington Times that the list of prospective nominees has been integral to his political success, and vowed to name his next nominee from the same roster.

“Yes,” Trump said when asked if he would stick to the list for future Supreme Court nominations. “That list was a big thing.”

We all know the story; Trump met with Cruz and made a promise.  With Trump commenting "that list was a big thing" makes me wonder what else happened?  I find it interesting that Trump has kept his promise (at least so far) on this issue but has not delivered on others.  Does Cruz have something on him?
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

The difference isn't Trump,  but the ability of the GOP to unify.    Centrists and conservatives united to confirm Gorsuch,  and to support increased funding for the military and border security.   Their failure to unite will cost us healthcare reform,  and likely next on the chopping block will be tax reform.

The GOP will never be united as long as there are those within the party that side with the left and embrace their liberal ideology.
