@TomSea
There was; your Stones radar seems particularly acute today! Mick Jagger and Keith Richards gave him this song to record first . . .

Per other milestones, I see Ray Manzarek passed away on May 20th, 2013; so, they were quite a group.

Not a bad cover by Joe Perry, really a fine guitarist.

Nice little rendition for French Canada of a popular tune in the 1950s. R 'n' R....

It is funny to me, how her voice always hits that high note on the refrain, this is just for fun.

It was also done in Spanish:

And that is what that prior song was. It was even made the theme song of some Novela/Soap Opera in Mexico.

So, this is just lighthearted fun.

Birthday related, it may be older music but anyone coming in acting like an expert citing music that's 2 years old and insulting people over their taste in music will have their posts deleted.

Stevie Ray Vaughn playing Seattle's Jimi Hendrix's music in Chicago as Stevie played home of the blues Chicago music.

Oh, but this isn't as modern as Taylor Swift or Rihanna, right? Experts would prefer this.

Per the Beatles above and I'm no chronicler of their band-life, the instrumental "Cry For A Shadow" if one is interested, is worth a listen, considering everything, early Beatles, where it was recorded.

Willie Nelson singing Wabash Cannonball, so many have performed it, out of America's songbook, it would be shocking if anyone would criticize the song.   *****rollingeyes*****

Now, because I think it's been around so long, maybe a century or more, even called a folk song.

@TomSea
I always thought of that as their bid to take a whack at surf music. (The tune was written by John Lennon and George
Harrison, maybe the only time that pair ever collaborated on writing a song.)

Birthdays today:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCZvoIcK4ZI

http://www.glorylandgospel.com/roscoerobinson2005.html

The spotlight this month is on none other than Roscoe Robinson.  If you are familiar with the Five Blind Boys of Mississippi or the Five Blind Boys of Alabama, then Roscoe Robinson should be no stranger to you.  He has the unique distinction of having sung with both sets of blind boys.  He was with the Five Blind Boys of Mississippi for about twelve (12) years.  He was with the Five Blind Boys of Alabama for about 20 years.

A lot of people have probably heard about those "Blind Boys of Alabama".
