@corbe

You know how to tell when you hear a great song being performed? It's when you stop whatever it is you are doing to just sit and listen to it and celebrate the magic.

Jeff Buckley's father was rather splendid in his line of work, too . . .

Yes, Sinatra sang the above as well.

I'm really enjoying this first album above I just stumbled on with the help of these blogs below. All spoken words.

The original written by Curtis Mayfield of The Impressions:

That's a completely different song than Tim Buckley's of the same name, but I love the Impressions!

Happy Birthday George Strait, born this day in Poteet, Texas 65 years ago.

His first #1, "Fool Hearted Memory" (1982):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T__Htin0Ai0

His 30th #1, "The Big One" (1994):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GS7rfkQahrg

His 60th #1, "Give it All We Got Tonight" (2012):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7C4kM_lu-W0

(Regarding his number of #1s, I took the above from a fan site, so I'm not sure how the #1s were counted. Wiki says he's had 45 #1s on the Billboard Country charts, but most everyone else who counts them says he's had 60 or 61 #1s. Must be counting other charts as well as Billboard Country, I don't know...)
Let it burn.

Son of R 'N' R pioneer Johnny Burnette, who also penned some of Ricky Nelson's songs; Burnette waited outside of the Nelson's residence to try to catch Ricky to sell him his songs, despite the fact, Johnny Burnette had some prior success. Another rock and roller, Burnette was, who died too young, I think some sort of fishing accident in the Pacific ocean. Burnette hailed from around Tennessee. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Burnette

    Viking Hunter Volume 1 Grab The Wolf

@To-Whose-Benefit?

DOOD! Have you tried to get amazon to post it as a freebie to their Kindle Krowd? It's free,so they should be happy to jump all over it.

Thanks Pete.

Amazon has a pricing floor policy of $0.99. Authors can't set their retail price beneath it.

However, Amazon will match the lowest price of an author's book Elsewhere online.

Which is a part of the reason I went with another big distributor, to get it down to free as a hook for the series.

However #2:

Last week I ran across a storm of smoke and thunder online from other writers howling about Amazon changing the way their 'Buy' button works.

Something about referring customers elsewhere rather than price matching it themselves.

Gonna wait till the smoke clears before I get all wrapped up in chasing rumors about it.

Thanks Again.
My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

George Strait, fine song interpreter, I don't know if he ever wrote his own as say Johnny Cash or Merle Haggard did but no conversation can really start on George Strait imho, without his most enduring song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZBf16B5vhs

"The Chair" is a favorite of many as well:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQB6W22Lk7k

Also sang Tommy Collins songs like "If you aren't loving, you aren't living". I've got some GS, "Baby Blue" might sound a bit corny nowadays, but I can enjoy it.

So how does that 53 #1s by George Strait look? Well, Conway Twitty had 55 and possibly more might come to George. Conway Twitty wrote a lot of his own songs even if I'm not a big fan of his, that's admirable.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RN2tdIf52QA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rm5-sZLBPfs

This was a good song performed by Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn.

Conway Twitty was a bit of a star in the 1950s; so he goes back, I think first a sort of rock and roll artist who then went into country.

@Ghost Bear

Let's just go with Wiki and say he has 45 more number1 hits than I do,ok?
