Israeli Officials: Trump Set to Visit Israel in May

U.S. President Donald Trump is set to arrive in Israel for a two-day visit on 22 May, official sources in Jerusalem told The Times of Israel on Thursday.
A delegation of some 25 U.S. officials landed in Israel on Thursday to start planning what is due to be the president’s first trip abroad since entering the White House. No previous U.S. president has visited Israel in the first months of his term.
Trump is expected to meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin during his trip to Israel. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and U.S. ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley are expected to visit Israel at a later date. Haley’s visit it scheduled for June.
