How your selfie could affect your life insurance

A selfie reveals more than whether it's a good hair day. Facial lines and contours, droops and dark spots could indicate how well you're aging, and, when paired with other data, could someday help determine whether you qualify for life insurance.

Several life insurance companies are testing Lapetus technology that uses facial analytics and other data to estimate life expectancy. Insurers use life expectancy estimates to make policy approval and pricing decisions.

Yeah, but who is the guy with the beard?
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Never had life insurance. Was of no use to me.
Too late now. Not getting any.

Hmmmm... I guess I -do- have some kind of "life insurance" policy courtesy of the railroad, but it was the same for everyone. Fixed amount payable at death. I didn't sign up for it.

Also, I recall my parents took out some kind of policy on us kids when we were young. Wasn't much either. After my mom died in '87 my sister gave it to me, I cashed it in. Again, not something I signed up for.

Ok, I chuckled just a little bit.

I did think it was awesome that Thackney put up a picture that was real, including dust/grass from a long day of riding still on his face.

I am 33 and I drink and smoke "occasionally". I don't think I'll have any problems if the life insurance company sees my selfie....

Healthy as a horse.
“The way I see it, every time a man gets up in the morning he starts his life over. Sure, the bills are there to pay, and the job is there to do, but you don't have to stay in a pattern. You can always start over, saddle a fresh horse and take another trail.” ― Louis L'Amour

We have three as well.  My 16 year old is a barrel racer.  The one behind me is her future college horse, once he can figure out where his feet are.  He's 16 hands and my daughter is only 5'-0".
