Why the heck is there a portrait of Hilterly in the White House?    Are there portraits of other first ladies?

Yes, all first ladies portraits are there in that area.

I thought Palin's off the shoulder blouse was undignified for the White House.  It was sleazy.

I hate to break it to the Obama stooge Pete, but no one gives a shit what you have to say about anything. You take pictures for a living.

It could only have been better (sic) if they made duck faces and held selfie sticks. They look like a bunch of tweens. Souza's response made the point without being disrespectful.

You didn't see Souza's response did you? He didn't 'say' anything.

The original pic is higher resolution and you can zoom in.  She's pointing with her index finger.  There's a large ring that makes her finger look odd/curved, but it isn't photoshopped out.

None of those are Souza's photos. They seem to be amateur shots. His point seems to be what is published by the WH photographer should be respectful and dignified. The Palin shot was shot and published officially, ie a historical image. it really was a crack at the photographer more than anything.

By the way, Pete Souza was also Reagan's official photographer and good friends with their family.

It's non of his GD business quite frankly. Secondly the Palin shot WAS NOT an official picture. It was a Twitter shot someone took with their phone.......Shemane Nugent to be exact. Thirdly can you show me where this is a disrespectful pose? Are they doing something other than standing there next to it that I am missing?

Why would a professional photographer make a crack at Ted Nugent's wife, who took the photo in question?   That seems like Barry Bonds criticizing my batting stance playing softball at the company picnic.

Right, because posing next to Clinton's portrait is obscene.

One person's 'modicum of dignity' could be another's normal behavior.

Two of them are rock stars, not preacher, dignitaries or political hacks.

And the portrait they are standing under is some Senator from NY state, not a President.

Oh, good grief!

First of all, making fun of those who deserve to be made fun of is an appropriate thing to do and can be very effective, and secondly, this is very, very mild.

Too many electrons have already been wasted on this nothing-burger.

@Victoria33

I couldn't believe she actually wore something off the shoulder to the White House.  It's also tacky and cheap looking.

She just has no taste.  It's clear now that the McCain campaign was choosing her wardrobe in 2008.
