Iconic author and cultural critic Camille Paglia predicts President Donald Trump is headed toward winning re-election in 2020, thanks to a Democratic Party in disarray and American mistrust of partisan elite New York media.
Paglia’s remarks came during a “Times Talks” discussion moderated by New York Times columnist Frank Bruni. Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen joined Paglia in a discussion about “the Donald Trump era.

I personally don't think he will.

 I think he will solve some hot spots around the world and get the economy going like gangbusters and then go out on a high note rather than risk something bad happening in the second term which would spoil his legacy.

   If his first 100 days is any indication I wonder if he'll finish ONE term.
   With help from Ryan, Trump is doing to the Republican party what obummer did to the Democrats and I'm OK with that. 
   The good thing is we'll never know how a 'lame Duck Donald' would govern, I can dream can't I?

It's very difficult to have the same party elected after a President serves two terms.  Since WWII, it's only happened twice with Truman and Bush 41.  You'd have to wonder what nightmare awaits in 2024.

What I'm hoping for is Pence runs in 2020 with a Pence/Cruz ticket and wins and then Cruz/Fiorina run in 2024 and win.

Wouldn't that be great!!  I wasn't all that familiar with Pence and he seemed kinda bland but I've grown to really admire him.  He's a good man.

You've laid out a future I would be totally on board with.

Unless the democrat party changes, I wonder ??  But anything can happen.  I don't plan on worrying about 2024.  At least not tonight.

If anything, they're becoming more aggressively socialist and proud of it.  One day, the 'rebels' of tomorrow will be conservatives.  That's perhaps a generation away.

   You, @Emjay like a few others here, think I'm #never trump, I have moved on (ain't it obvious?) I don't Love him to the degree of some of you here BUT I'm a realist, he's all I got-I want him to do as well as he can, whatever grownup NY liberals can do, it's not any type of the Rush 'I hope he fails' thing, BUT I reserve the Right to criticize, just as I did the last 2 Presidents, if my abuse of Trump seems harsh-I will defer to you, It probably is, but surely even you must admit, I'm making progress, NO?
