What are you proposing, exactly? That so-called conservatives go on-line and organize and do the same thing? Surely not.
No.
I'm not sure why this point isn't getting across. There is a
huge moral difference between using force to attack someone who is attempting to hold a peaceful political rally, and using force to
defend those attempting to hold a peaceful political rally. I am not advocating,
ever, that conservatives should "retaliate" by trying to disrupt leftist rallies. They have a right to speak and assemble peacefully no matter how much I may disagree with them. But I also don't endorse just sitting there and taking it.
A few things to think about, concerning this incident.
I'm not generally one for seeing code-words, but that sure looks to me like a cover for a white-supremacist world view. The Identity Evropa presence at the rally makes sense.
There were two different things going on. There was an normal pro-Trump group trying to have a peaceful rally -- and then there were some additional goons who came on their own. You're lumping to the two together. Here is the write-up from the hardly pro-Trump SF Gate. They very clearly describe Trump marchers, and then
counter-protestors, hundreds of whom showed up dressed in anarchist black.
The rally, one of several pro-Trump events held across the United States, began at 2 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park. That’s less than a mile from the UC Berkeley campus where a violent protest Feb. 1 forced the cancellation of a speech by right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos.
The fighting Saturday started even before the event began, with people throwing punches, swinging signs and tossing smoke bombs. Hundreds of people filled the park, with anarchists and counterdemonstrators far outnumbering what rally sponsors estimated were 60 to 75 Trump supporters.

these leftist attacks on Trump rallies were not unique to this one rally at which Evropa (never heard of them before this) also decided to show up. We have all been reading, for months, about normal Trump rallies being attacked by violent leftists who view themselves as "the Resistance", and use force to beat up Trump supporters. It happened during the campaign as well -- we all saw it. This is the same place where they used violence to shut down Yiannolopolis. I don't like him either, but the man has a right to speak. And now Ann Coulter is going out there to speak. I don't like
her either, but the idea that the left has that they can use force to shut down dissenting views has to be opposed by
someone.
