At least 94 Isis militants have been killed in an attack that saw the US military drop the largest non-nuclear weapon it has ever used in combat, Afghan officials say.

Ataullah Khogyani, spokesman for the provincial governor in Nangarhar, where the bomb fell, said the number of Isis members dead was up from the 36 reported a day earlier.

“Fortunately, there is no report of civilians being killed in the attack,” Mr Khogyani said.

You aren't alone.  The cost of that weapon isn't nearly as costly as a lot of things we've done, and the impact (no pun intended) is on the infrastructure more than the casualty count.  I hope we get good BDA info.

I have to give the man credit. No diddling around, hit 'em hard, and it sends a message that there is new management at 1600 PA Ave. If the BDA is correct, this was a surgical strike with a 16 lb hammer, and should not only hamper activities in the area, but give the terrorists something to think about.

Just stating that we should be concentrating our energies on ISIS, Taliban, Al Qaeda, and all militant groups including those who we have previously supported in Syria who have proven militant.  That should be the focus in every country where these militants are operating.

Let them decide their own course in that way, just to achieve something approaching stability, then go in and deal with the management if we so choose. If someone is performing genocide, we have the option of stepping in and disrupting those efforts by taking out the bad guys. If they are using WMDs (NBC warfare), take the appropriate action to stop that use and destroy their stockpiles and production. I don't have a problem with that, and I doubt most of the other nations of the world would either.
As for regime change (puppet government insertion), I do not see where that would be a stable arrangement, and with boots on the ground, it gets treacly.

Well I guess you would be accusing Trump of hating himself then.  Because before he hated Assad he was looking forward to working with the Russian, Iranian, Syrian coalition against terrorism.  Forgot that about him did you?  He was looking forward to good relations with Russia.  All for joining all of them in the fight against ISIS.  And for your knowledge if you ever read Israel news they are quite friendly with Putin too.  Russia has declared the Jerusalem should be their capitol.  They also have been weary of Trump making statements that they have to end settlement building.
