Trump Organization settles restaurant lawsuit with second celebrity chef: reports

By Paulina Firozi - 04/10/17 07:48 PM EDT

The Trump Organization has reportedly settled a legal battle with celebrity chef Geoffrey Zakarian in a second settled lawsuit over failed deals to open restaurants in the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The settlement comes three days after the group settled a deal with chef Jose Andres, according to reports.

The settlements bookend a nearly two-year-long legal dispute that began in July 2015, when Zakarian and Andres backed out of deals to open restaurants in Trump’s hotels.

The chefs cancelled their planned restaurants shortly after Trump called Mexican immigrants criminals and rapists in a 2015 speech announcing his candidacy.

Trump sued the chefs for breach of contract and the chefs countersued, CNN reported.
“After an intense, two -year legal battle, we are pleased we were able to amicably resolve our differences and wish Geoffrey continued success," Donald Trump

Jr., who now runs the family’s business empire, said in a statement, according to the report.

The details of neither of the settlements have been disclosed.

No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

Wouldn't it be just as accurate for the headline to read:

My avatar shows the national debt in stacks of $100 bills.  If you look very closely under the crane you can see the Statue of Liberty.

If you are a "Celebrity Chef" shouldn't you be a household name and not some flunky on the Food Channel?

I do have to wonder how Zakarian, Flay, et al. have time even to occasionally visit their many far flung restaurants, let alone cook, given their nearly full time presence on that increasingly silly network.

They're all like Trump. They sell their brand, not their skills.
