What is Dyslexia?

Dyslexia is a form of learning disability that affects how a person reads and spells words.
Symptoms

The symptoms of dyslexia can range from mild to severe and can lead to difficulty with certain parts of reading, writing and speech. In particular, a person with dyslexia may experience difficulty with the following:

I once had a dyslexic student who could read quite well, if she turned the book upside down.  I also was in a class with another special ed. teacher who said she didn't discover she was dyslexic until she started taking classes that dealt with it.  She just always thought she was a poor reader.  The point is I think there are many more people than are recognized who have some form of dyslexia.
