Well any fool Dem with a strategic bone in their body would do the same. Gorsuch is likely not even as conservative as Scalia, so the end result will be a court that may occasionally rule on the Dem side of the issue moreso than in the past.
Instead Schmuckie Chuckie is taking the hard stand, betting McConnell won't go nuclear. But if he calls their bluff, they lose big. Big gamble for little payoff.
