Liberals Attack Mike Pence for Being Faithful to His Wife

Late Tuesday, The Washington Post's Ashley Parker published a story about Vice President Mike Pence's relationship with his wife. By Thursday morning, thousands of liberals had attacked Pence as a sexist bigot for simple steps he reportedly takes to honor his wife and avoid any appearance of infidelity in their marriage.

"This is a medieval vision of every man as an incorrigible adulterer or rapist, lest he be restrained by his wife's presence by his side," tweeted Arnand Giridharidas, an author who used to write for The New York Times.

Depends of the politics. Remember Bill Clinton got one free grope. But I'll bet they'd have given Slick Willie as many free gropes as he wanted as long as he kept the feminist agenda up and running.
This is just Dems getting exercised because Pence is a Republican. Obama doing the same thing would, of course, have drawn no comments from Dems. All politics.  Slinging mud just because they could.

I have to admit that to me, personally, his statement seems slightly excessive. I'll go to events without the missus, she goes to ones without me (we both prefer that sometimes). I'll eat with a woman friend without a second thought, and I know she does the same with men friends.

Different strokes, I guess, seems to work out pretty well for them. :shrug:

It's funny to me what people decide to read into a perfectly normal situation.  If I meet a female friend for lunch odds are we'll hug when we meet and again when we depart.  OMG, our bodies touched.  And lots of ladies run businesses these days and lunch meetings can be great opportunities to get together and visit away from the office. 

In the 80's it was nothing to have a few drinks during lunch with co-workers and many restaurants would advertise their Happy Hour lunch specials.

Maybe she's his wingman.  :tongue2:

Pence is a pretty cheery, outgoing sort - get a few drinks in him and I can see him becoming very agreeable with whoever he's talking to. Good in a person, not so good in a Governor (or VP)!
