The Washington Post publishes an admiring profile of CBS nightly news anchorman Scott Pelley, heir to the reprehensible Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather. Pelley, the Post tells us, is notable for his incessant attacks on President Trump:

    With the words “credibility questioned” prominent on the screen, Scott Pelley once again is doing what network evening-news anchors generally don’t do: abandoning careful neutrality in favor of pointed truth-telling.

    He is talking Thursday night about President Trump. And here are some of the words he is using: “his boasting and tendency to believe conspiracy theories.”

    It’s nothing new. Pelley, of CBS Evening News, has set himself apart — especially in recent weeks — with a spate of such assessments, night after night.

   Millions of Americans are to stupid to know they are being feed Cold Duck Soup, it's sad really, I do fear for my Country.  I turned off TV News last year after the election, the NET feeds me filet mignon because I pretty much know what to order.

I wonder how many really watch TV news. It's often that the set stays on while people prepare or eat dinner or do other things.

I stopped watching TV long ago as it's mostly a waste of time.

For the first half of the 1970s I didn't own a television. Something I noticed during that time was that I often didn't know what people were talking about because they were often referring to some TV show or commercial. Not the news shows but mostly sitcoms or evening soap operas.

QFT!  I figured it out about two days after I got off the plane which brought me home from Vietnam and just by accident seeing the BS Walter Cronkite was reporting about the war. The reason I remember that so well is that It caused a big argument between my dad, who couldn't imagine that Walter would lie to him, and myself who had just returned from the place and KNEW for sure that he was lying through his teeth!

   I lived that too @Bigun I read voraciously back then (still do), My heart still cries when I think about it. It's not much different today in how this Country treats it's Vets. It took me years to overcome my 'screw em' attitude and remnants still remain but I've found a place where I am at peace now and turning off that damn TV was an important part of my therapy.

Polls show that trust in the media is at an all time low. Back in the VietNam War era, people did trust what they were reading and watching on TV.

Today is a different era. Thirty years ago, the 60 Minutes National Guard story about GWB would have gone unchallenged. That's why liberals are contemptuous of FOX. They have every other news organization slanted in their favor but they whine about the GOP having one(FOX News)

If Commie garbage like this old fart Pelley were worth worrying about, Trump would have lost. He didn't because no one except the Beltway's elected welfare queens listen to him.

So over the entire span of a week they get a grand total of 25 million people tune in. That alone isn't even 8% of the population and that is the total for the week.

The MSM has no power and all they have now are ad revenues coming in from pills that make a penis hard or adult diapers.
