Kasich: Republicans ‘Have Got to Reach Out Across the Aisle’

(CNSNews.com) – “You cannot have major changes in major programs affecting things like health care without including Democrats from the very beginning and asking them to be constructive,” Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a former Republican presidential contender, told CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday.

“So, they have got to reach out across the aisle. And Democrats have to say, we will work with you to improve and fix this plan for people.”

Kasich said it would be “pathetic” if Democrats put partisanship above the good of the country:

Please remind me of the last time that Democrats "reached out across the aisle" to Republicans, or the last time that their cheerleaders in the news media suggested they must.

The only thing that could ever reach them... was the son of a mailman...

They just need to make the Uniparty Oligarchy official, and drop the false pretenses that the GOP is any kind of opposition party to Collectivist Statism - and declarations like this from Kasich and the GOP Establishment will no longer be necessary.

His governorship is up in 2018...one RINO down and so many more to go!  There is definitely something to be said for term limits.

If we're LUCKY, he'll run for Pres again.

If we're really, really unlucky, he'll take a job as a TV talking head and we'll have to listen to his drivel for the next 40 years.

And how well has that worked out for us in the past Governor?

Every single time Republicans reach across the aisle the only thing that happens is we we end up with  a bloody stump.

Someone should remind Pastor John that he tried selling this pablum to win a Presidential nomination and he got destroyed. Reaching out to the Rats is like reaching out into the darkness of a Porta-John hoping to grasp a misplaced Rolex.

Wow, that sure didn't take long. Why is it every time the Republicans actually get in power, there is a cry from not just the democrats but those supposedly republican to compromise, compromise, compromise. What's the big deal as far as Kasich, hasn't Trump already said he will now work with democrats?
