Rand Paul takes victory lap on GOP health bill

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) quickly declared victory on Friday, praising conservatives for "standing up against ObamaCare Lite."

“I applaud House conservatives for keeping their word to the American people,” Paul said in a statement.

Republican leaders pulled their bill to repeal and replace ObamaCare on Friday afternoon, acknowledging that it was headed toward defeat.

Great.  He considers it a victory to save full-strength ObamaCare from being downgraded to "ObamaCare Lite."  Because literally, that was the only thing actually accomplished.

Only Nobamacare will do. Everything else is a waste of time.

...and another bill can't be initiated and voted on?  Bammycare still can't be repealed and replaced?  I consider the defeat of Bammycare Lite as a victory as well.

Ask Ryan. If the GOP is serious about ridding us of Obamanocare then the rejection of Phase 1 should be but phase 1 in the process.

Ask the Freedom Caucus. Ask what they now propose.
