First major shakeup rocks Trump’s White House

A top White House aide is leaving her post as deputy chief of staff in the first major shakeup of the Trump administration.

Katie Walsh, who was previously Reince Priebus’ chief of staff at the Republican National Committee, will serve as an adviser to America First, a group outside the government that aims to bolster the Trump agenda and will also serve on the RNC.

A White House official confirmed the move and said, “Katie Walsh has accepted a position with an outside organization. She has been a tremendous asset to the President and we are confident she will be so in her new role as well.”

if I recall she was expected to resign after the Flynn fiasco (or something), she probably has the same conflicts of interest he had.

Could be lots of things:

She doesn't fit comfortably in the organisation.
She wants more responsibility and the new job provides it.
Preibus is on his way out and he's getting his people out while his word is still good (unlikely but possible - heard he looks after his own).

What it isn't is a major shake up.

FWIW, theconservativenuthouse.com is claiming this was a masterful plan by Trump that caught her as the leaker, and that she's a Priebus #nevertrump-er.
