Sean Spicer, buddy, don’t wear a green tie on TV
« on: March 18, 2017, 10:25:08 am »
Look: You don’t wear green on TV. You especially don’t wear green on TV if you are the bloviating, gum-filled bully tasked with badgering the press’ questions about your boss’ profoundly unpopular, unconstitutional policies. These are basic rules that are handed out at press secretary school pretty early on.

Sean Spicer, as usual, does not give a shit about the rules, and so he tipped his hat to St. Patrick’s Day by wearing a jovial green tie. And guess what happened? You already know what happened.

It amused me.

It's come to this. These people are hating on others because they wore a green tie on Saint Patrick's Day, of all days. Wow.

If I were Spicer and I saw this article, I'd just keep wearing green ties every day just to make these fools look even more ridiculous.

I mean, tie color? REALLY???

Mylre - watch the video.

You don't wear green in a newsroom - unless you want to inadvertently become part of the background.  :tongue2:

Well, that's a ground rule for weatherfolk like me (for which Saint Patrick's Day is a running joke)! I didn't realize that Spicer worked in front of a chroma-key screen, though.

I don't think he was actually in front of a screen; it looks from the video at the link that some joker took the images and photoshopped video onto the tie.

In other words, it really has nothing to do with wearing a green tie and everything to do with the sort of vapid spite that passes for intellectual wit in liberal circles.

I did not think it was funny.

I did not think it was funny.

Nor do I.  Only the progressive liberal leftist mental midgets see it as funny.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

This.  If you watch the entire video, you see that his tie stays green.
