You have infighting in the Democratic party with Islam and the Gay rights crowd, possibly with those who are pro-Israel too. Thus, "fighting" may not necessarily mean "fighting" fisticuffs.

Context is important here, King was speaking about Jorge Ramos. Anything can be taken out of context and sound alarming but the article describes the situation fairly well.
