Hannity: Trump should 'purge' holdovers from Obama era
By Max Greenwood - 03/10/17 08:57 AM EST

Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday called for President Trump to "purge" the executive branch of Obama-era bureaucrats and appointees.

In the wake of a series of damaging leaks that have marked Trump's first week in office, Hannity said the president should focus on eliminating those who may be unfriendly toward him and his policies

He invoked President Abraham Lincoln as a model for Trump to follow.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Should have been done three weeks ago at the latest!
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Trump has a lot on his plate but I am a bit surprised he hasn't yet cleaned house.

Fire 2, hire 1.

Despite the media firestorm over Trump he really hasn't accomplished all that much in the first 2 months.  The anti-Trump zealots tell us the world is nearly at an end because he has done so much already, but as a list of accomplishments go it isn't all that long.

By comparison, we have an ex-president who in that same time frame has setup an entire network of over 200 agents intent on overthrowing the government.  That's quite an accomplishment.

For someone who wants to drain the swamp, I would think getting rid of Bammy's holdover's would have been one of the first things he would have done. My question is why hasn't he?  He also seems to be putting people in place that have ties to the Bammy administration; Rosenstein comes to mind.

IMHO ... those agents have been waiting in the wings for quite some time.  Bammy may have physically stepped down from his seat, but he's still pulling a lot of strings in DC.

Yep. He's too busy stuffing hairballs down the drain pipe to get the job done, and the sewers are going to back up on him.
