I've been reading through her posts - she's sharp and lays her case well.
Don't always agree with her (don't always agree with myself, either) but she's an elegant thinker.
I had to chuckle with your note (
don't always agree with myself, either). Right there with you.
When I change my mind on a subject I normally realize that I've made a change - but not always. And if I don't even realize I've shifted positions do I still think, "I was right all along"? Well, there's no way to tell, which makes me chuckle at the juxtaposition of parallel beliefs. How could I have been right all along if I changed my mind at some point?
And if that guy in the mirror tends to overthink things then someone needs to slap him upside the head and snap him back to reality. So I've come to terms with the idea that it is not only OK to change your mind, but it is also most likely a very healthy indicator that I'm not part of a cult. Which makes me chuckle for some unknown reason.
