Trump, Trumpbart, the MAGA crowd, and the MAGA media all look like complete wimps and whiners, still complaining about mean ol' Obama after Obama has been out of office for over a month. GET ON WITH IT. Pass your agenda and stop whining like little bitches.
@Weird Tolkienish Figure

"...complaining about mean ol' Obama after Obama has been out of office for over a month."

You do not understand Trump's mind.  Remember, he hounded, sent nasty messages, for 20 years to a woman in England who refused his advances.  He will still be blaming Obama for 20 years.  And, if you say something critical of Trump, and he gets wind of it, he will hound YOU for 20 years - and/or sue you.  Also remember, he wanted new laws so he could sue the media if they said something unfair about him, and he would be the one who determined what "fair" is.   :kisses2:

Not necessarily, for all we know all it takes is a serious allegation to make some of these judges give approval.
@geronl

For wiretapping approval for the justice dept., there is one court and one specific judge and those proceedings are secret to protect the citizen's name and the investigation.

Either Obama spied on Trump, or the current President is mentally unstable and should be asked to resign by his cabinet.  A sane person doesn't go public with this stuff unless he is dead certain it's true.  It has been 24 hours and nary a shred of credible evidence has been presented.

The problem is that if he comes out and says 'ABCD" then he violates several federal disclosure laws on classified data. He can say "It happened, trust me" and thats all he can do legally. I don't trust him. I trust Obama even less.

Clapper denies wiretap of Trump Tower

By Rebecca Savransky - 03/05/17 10:36 AM EST

Former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper on Sunday denied President Trump's allegations that former President Barack Obama wiretapped Trump Tower before the election.

During an interview on NBC's "Meet The Press," Clapper was asked if he would be aware if something like that had happened.

"I would certainly hope so ... Obviously I can't speak officially anymore," Clapper said on NBC's "Meet The Press."

"But I will say that for the part of the national security apparatus that I oversaw as DNI, there was no such wiretap activity mounted against the president-elect at the time, as a candidate, or against his campaign."

Clapper also said he would know if a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court order existed for "something like this."
"And at this point you can't confirm or deny whether that exists?" host Chuck Todd asked.

"I can deny it," Clapper said in response.

"There is no FISA court order," Todd asked.

"Not to my knowledge," Clapper responded.

I note this very disturbing part of his response:

"But I will say that for the part of the national security apparatus that I oversaw as DNI..."

Wait a minute. THIS RAISES A QUESTION ----  The PART of the national security apparatus that Clapper oversaw???

How many other parts were there and who oversaw them?

From this, I have to conclude that the headline from the post you provided is wrong (THE HILL) , it should be this --- James Clapper can’t rule out wiretapping of Trump.

Also note this very clever use of words ( Emphasis mine ):

"But I will say that for the part of the national security apparatus that I oversaw as DNI, there was no such wiretap activity mounted against the president-elect at the time.

This raises another interesting question ---- How about at the time when he was not yet president elect and still running against Hillary, did you do it at that time?

The truth.

WTF?  Literally...lol.

Pardon me for making this observation.... but....

It appears more to me like you are looking at or for the truth kinda like the Democrats count votes in an election.  Much like they sift through the votes until they get a win for their side...

you're sifting through the fake news for the version of 'truth' that you like the most....

the one that fits right in with your agenda.

You seem to conveniently ignore any facts or news presented that does not fit in with your view of that truth.

Just sayin.....

Yes, and notice again what Clapper said compared to what really occured. There was no such wiretap activity mounted against the president-elect at the time, as a candidate, or against his campaign."

AT THE TIME WHEN HE WAS PRESIDENT ELECT? That was November 8 and onwards...

The only way to interpret it is he said President Elect at the time, which means from Nov 8 onward. But the time frame we are talking about is in October. So, the first part of his statement is meaningless.

Next we have the phrase: "as a candidate, or against his campaign." Of course the wiretap wasn't against him as a candidate or his campaign. The wiretap was specifically against the server at Trump Tower. So the other half of his statement is meaningless also.

These people are positively CLINTONIAN, all of the same ilk.

Right. He's also a proven liar. This is the guy that told Congress the NSA was not collecting information of any sort on millions of americans (later determined that they were).

"Two U.S. representatives accused Clapper of perjury for telling a congressional committee in March 2013, that the NSA does not collect any type of data at all on millions of Americans. One senator asked for his resignation, and a group of 26 senators complained about Clapper's responses under questioning. Media observers have described Clapper as having lied under oath, having obstructed justice, and having given false testimony."

Here you go. SIX WEEKS AGO.
by Andrew C. McCarthy   January 11, 2017 3:02 PM
The first [FISA] request, which, sources say, named Trump, was denied back in June, but the second was drawn more narrowly and was granted in October after evidence was presented of a server, possibly related to the Trump campaign, and its alleged links to two banks; [sic] SVB Bank and Russia’s Alfa Bank. While the Times story speaks of metadata, sources suggest that a FISA warrant was granted to look at the full content of emails and other related documents that may concern US persons.

It is the pits, @bigheadfred, that you bring this reasonable account of why the Trump people in the campaign were examined due to the Russian influence in our election.  This Russian influence was a web and the Trump people were in that web.  Trump is blaming Obama personally for wiretapping him.

The next time you post, get with the group think that Obama did this all by himself, to listen to Trump's calls.

I just read something. That only the president can make an assertion like he has and get away with it. He can "declassify" info if he wants without revealing that information specificlly, or source.

I enjoyed your post.  It reminded me so vividly of the good old days.  The days when I fought tooth and nail against Trump and stories of his obsessive but unrequited love for Princess Di were manna to my soul.  And there were so many of them.  And I relished every one.  How could a man this crazy be elected president?  No effing way.

But he was.

I don't know how I was able to rise from the rubble of all the Trump stories I once loved and passed on gleefully when others cannot.

I won't say I was struck blind on the road to Damascus.  I did have a serious accident and spent 7 days in the hospital and another 5 weeks bedridden.

Whatever.  I was just suddenly freed from my Trump hate.  I know the Trump qualities are still there and may come out to haunt us but I also know that Trump has not put a foot (very) wrong since he's been president.

He has simply risen to the occasion.  That speech the other night was one example.  I never dreamed he could do that. At one time I didn't think he was smart enough.

Prior to my 'change' I thought he would make weird cabinet appointments that would embarrass and dismay us.  He made excellent ones.  I would not change one.

I thought he would forget his wild campaign promises.  I stated firmly right here on this forum that he would never build a wall.

It looks like the wall is gonna get done.

I could go on but the point is that I was somehow able to give up my Trump hate and I feel so much better.

Trump is not the Second Coming and he may disappoint us but the time for piling on Trump over minor annoyances is over ... at least for me.

Rubio: Whether Trump's claims are true will become clear 'over the next few days'
By Eric Bradner, CNN

Updated 11:30 AM ET, Sun March 5, 2017

Washington (CNN) — Sen. Marco Rubio said Sunday that whether or not President Donald Trump's unsubstantiated assertions that President Barack Obama wiretapped his phones at Trump Tower during the presidential election are true will become clear "very quickly."

In an interview on CNN's "State of the Union" with Jake Tapper, the Florida Republican said he doesn't know where Trump's claim comes from.

"But I imagine we're going to learn more about it here over the next few days, one way or the other," Rubio said.

"I'm not sure what it is he is talking about," Rubio added. "Perhaps the President has information that is not yet available to us or to the public. And if it's true, obviously we're going to find out very quickly. And if it isn't, then obviously he'll have to explain what he meant by it."

Asked if the FBI should clear the matter up, Rubio said that's a "difficult thing." The FBI typically doesn't even acknowledge publicly when an investigation is underway, let alone delve into the details, he noted.

"And I know it's a source of deep frustration for a lot of people, not just on this issue, but in other issues in the past," Rubio said.

"But what I think we should do is, everybody needs to take a deep breath and calm down here," he said. "And let's go through this as what we are doing. In the Senate Intelligence Committee, we are working in a bipartisan way to collect facts that involve reviewing classified and sometimes unclassified and open-source information."

"We will issue a report to the Senate that will be available to the American people, and then people can form judgments on the basis of the collection of facts," Rubio said. "That is what we are undertaking. I remain confident that the Senate Intelligence Committee is going to produce a document built on the facts that will allow people to reach judgments based on the facts. And that's what we should be doing in something like this."

The stupidity of announcing to the Russians and other foreign agents that we are listening to their phone calls.  But then no one accused Levin of understanding the ramifications of giving that info to our enemies.
And make no mistake, Russia is NOT our friend.

Susan Collins: "It Would Probably Be Helpful For President Trump Not To Comment Any Further"

Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine sits down with Face the Nation Host John Dickerson to discuss President Trump's wiretap accusations, the Senate Intelligence Committee investigation into Russia and healthcare reform.

"It would probably be helpful if he gave more information, but it also might be helpful if he just didn't comment further and allowed us to do our work," she said about the Intelligence Committee investigation.

Of course Obama masterminded the assault.  He is evil personified.  He thought he could continue as Potus (behind the scenes) with Hillary in the White House.  He must have been incredibly traumatized when Trump won.  All the denials from the Obama camp sound weak and dissembling.  Maybe Obama didn't personally order this but everyone knew it's what he wanted.  Why do you think he packed the government with his appointees right before he left?  Why do you think he moved practically next door to the White House?

I think he planned for Hillary to serve four years at which time her health and age would prohibit her from running again.  I think he had his candidate picked out.  Not sure who but ...

Trump may be a bit of a jerk but I think he loves the country and wants what is best for us.

Obama wanted to make America a combination of socialism, third-world nation and full of Muslims.  He just didn't have quite enough time.

Thank you, Trump.

That's the problem with following Obama's untrustworthiness by Trump's untrustworthiness.

We may be jumping out of the fire back into the frying pan, but it's a serious problem to have a President who has proven over and over and over again that he is a liar.

There is no rationale which says we should believe a thing he says.   There are obviously many here engaging in wishful thinking that Trump is telling the truth (however irresponsibly he's doing it), but there is no one here, or anywhere on the planet who has any reason to believe what he says.
