US Forces Continue to Pound Out al Qaeda with Over 20 Airstrikes in Yemen

Terrorists, be gone! There’s a new sheriff in town, and he’s not taking your nonsense one minute longer. Your time is up. The U.S. military easily trampled al Qaeda’s Yemen branch with over 20 airstrikes overnight Thursday in the first known military operation in the country since the raid which left Navy SEAL Ryan Owens dead.
Pentagon spokesman Capt. Jeff Davis said in a statement Thursday:
U.S. forces conducted a series of precision strikes in Yemen against al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, or AQAP, in the early morning of March 2 (Yemen time). More than 20 strikes targeted AQAP militants, equipment and infrastructure in the Yemeni governorates of Abyan, al Bayda and Shabwah.
