Paris Mayor uses the Minnie and Mickey defense

In the Eiffel Tower, “we celebrate the dynamism and the spirit of openness of #Paris with Mickey & Minnie,” the message said, along with a photo of Hidalgo posing with the two Disney cartoon characters.

On Saturday, French President François Hollande backed the mayor. “I think that it is never good to show the smallest defiance toward an allied country,” Hollande told journalists at an agricultural trade fair, according to Reuters. “I wouldn't do it with the United States, and I'm urging the U.S. president not to do it with France.”

Not to be confused with the Chewbacca defense.

I am glad Trump threw out CNN and The New York times.

What rubbish these outlets print!!!

Perhaps GOP briefingroom or Drudge should send reporters to replace the fake news during the presidential press conferences.

So.... let me get this straight.  Speaking the truth is now considered (by the idiots on the left) to be "showing defiance toward an allied country"???

Cause.... truth is such a rare commodity (verboten) in liberal-run nations.  Got it.

Sure it does.  It makes perfect sense.  The liberal mayor of Paris, like most other liberals/leftists, is into fantasy and cartoon characters vs. reality.

Symbolism over substance is their gig.

My sadness is over this matter is somewhat mitigated by the sheer humor of the Mayor Paris posing with Mickey Mouse to defuse the trashing of her city by terrorists.

As far as the fake news goes, perhaps Carlos Slim and Jeff Bozos  need to have their printing operations reviewed for anit-Trust violations next.

It's surreal, isn't it.  Thus proving that we live in an era where truth really is stranger than fiction (ie you can't make this stuff up).

I suppose in some weird, lefty-like bubble-land.... posing with Mickey and Minnie equated to a personal slight and insult to Trump?  Dunno.  The truth and reality is.... it just made Hidalgo look even more stupid than she already appeared.  It affirmed her SOS level...lol.

I think it was also some bizarre visual showing 'solidarity' with America?

The Mayor of Paris posing with Mickey and Minnie Mouse.  That does not make sense!

Shortly ater Disneyland Paris opened they had to suspend their Regular Nightly Fireworks shows.
Seems every night, after the fireworks, the French would surrender.

That pic has obviously been photo-shopped.  There is no Minnie Mouse.  Minnie is really Mickey wearing drag.  That is why you never see them together.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."
