EXCLUSIVE: White House Fingers John McCain As Media Leak; Believes U.S. Senator Eavesdropped on Trump’s Classified Phone

Posted on February 21, 2017 by Investigative Bureau

This could be the beginning of the end for embattled Sen. John McCain’s life in politics. According to White House officials, McCain is believed to have somehow gained access to the content of President Donald Trump’s private, classified telephone calls with world leaders. And he isn’t keeping quiet about what was talked about either.

An analysis of McCain’s recent public statements by White House officials, coupled with information from intelligence personnel working with the Trump administration, paints a disturbing picture for McCain — or any elected U.S. politician. Officials believe the senator has inside knowledge of a number of President Trump’s telephone conversations, including at least one conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Even more alarming, officials believe McCain is secretly sharing this sensitive information with colleagues and his cabal of friendly mainstream media journalists in a dangerous clandestine campaign to damage Trump’s presidency even before it has a chance to succeed. Trump has been searching for media rats in the Beltway in recent weeks. White House aides are confident they have now outed one of the major leaks plaguing the early days of the Trump presidency. To everyone’s surprise, it is a senior senator supposedly belonging to the same side of the political aisle as the president.

McCain has been lambasting Trump to anyone and everyone who will listen since the newly minted president’s inauguration. This includes a Russian comedian who pranked McCain posing as Ukraine Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman. Even during that troubling conversation, where McCain shared sensitive U.S. intelligence with an imposter, White House aides said McCain unknowingly exposed himself as having inside knowledge of Trump’s telephone conversations.

“He has been given transcripts or actually listened to the calls and is sharing what he has heard,” an administration insider said. “There is no doubt. He is one of the major leaks.”

Eh....I don't know.  As much as I loathe McCain and would love for his @ss to be nailed, finally, after all these years of his snake-like behavior.... I'm not seeing this story on any real news sites.  Only on dubious blogs and websites.  And oddly enough, not even the leftist media has jumped on it.  Perhaps because it concerns one of their own....?

It will be interesting to see if Rush addresses this tomorrow though.

I assume this is sarcasm and doesn't need a reply.

If they didn't get him for destroying 3 Planes on the USS Forrestal, I'd bet he's safe from everything except Trump's attacks, which has proven to be deadly.
Or how about losing $3 bn in taxpayers's dollars in Lincoln Savings in '89?

His worst SIN to me will always be selling out the POW/MIA in Vietnam, with his buddy Kerry.

Not sure of the veracity of this, but certainly seems interesting, to me, anyway.

It is interesting but is McCain still capable of pulling this off?  Does he have that many brain cells left?  If he did it, he had help.

The people of AZ (I am one of them) arent the problem. The people from California that escaped there but brought their liberalism here are why AZ is the mess it is.And why I always say AZ should no longer be counted as a Red state. It can't be trusted. Too many Californicators.

See ... that's why we need secure borders.

Admitting ignorance here, but I never heard that McCain sold out the POW/MIA in Vietnam.

Now, Kerry, there's very little I wouldn't believe about him..

Kerry Committee

Main article: United States Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs

Senator Bob Smith introduced a 1991 resolution to create a Senate Select POW/MIA Committee.[29] Senator and fellow Vietnam War veteran John Kerry was the chair of the committee, and its third key member was Senator and former Vietnam War POW John McCain. Compared to earlier congressional investigations into the POW/MIA issue, this one had a mandate to be more skeptical and ask harder questions of government officials than before.[29] The committee's work included more visits to Vietnam and getting the Department of Defense to declassify over a million pages of relevant documents.[46] Kerry and McCain said that they had gotten the Vietnamese to give them full access to their records, and that they had spent thousands of hours trying to find real, not fabricated, evidence of surviving Americans.[46]

Some of the most publicized testimony before the committee came in September 1992, when former Nixon Defense Secretaries Melvin Laird and James Schlesinger said that the U.S. government had believed in 1973 that some American servicemen had not been returned from Laos, despite Nixon's public statements to the contrary.[6] Schlesinger said, "As of now, I can come to no other conclusion. [But] that does not mean there are any alive today."[6] Laird said in retrospect of Nixon's assurances that all POWs were coming home, "I think it was unfortunate to be that positive. You can't be that positive when we had the kind of intelligence we had."[6] In reaction to the testimony, Kerry said, "I think it's quite extraordinary when two former secretaries of defense both give evidence documenting that they had information, or they believed personally, that people were alive and not accounted for in Operation Homecoming."[6]

The committee issued its unanimous findings on January 13, 1993. In response to the central question of whether any American POWs were still in captivity, it stated:

While the Committee has some evidence suggesting the possibility a POW may have survived to the present, and while some information remains yet to be investigated, there is, at this time, no compelling evidence that proves that any American remains alive in captivity in Southeast Asia.[1]

I think the bigger worry is who in the WH Comms section is feeding this stuff to McCain.

They can't take down McCain a la Flynn; but it seems something is in the air. I may well be wrong; he's being a bit of a stick in the mud alright.

The idea that outsiders are ever going to remove a senator or representative is a foolish waste of time. Local people tend to resent that sort of interference.

Happened a few times, like to Eric Cantor. It's rare.

Why do I want McCain out of the Senate?  Because he votes and sides with the DEMS!  Let's see ... McCain-Feingold for starter's and he is pro abortion and also favors; same-sex marriage,  amnesty and prioritizing green energy.

The people of Arizona continue to vote for him I believe because he was a POW and a decorated veteran and perhaps he's the lesser of the evils running against him.

If Trump has the "goods" on McCain, who IMHO is easily capable of being the "leaker" then McCain is going to become very supportive of the Trump administration. Were the anti-Trumpers in the CIA listening in on Trumps' phone calls? And then passing the info to anti-Trump, swamp monster, John McCain?

I think that's the point.  So I assume the strategy is to ask McCain "from where did you get this?", and see if he is willing to disclose who broke federal law.

Admit to not keeping a close eye on Arizona politics, but wasn't a good woman candidate running against him this time.

Let's face it ... we are dumb.  The incumbent has a huge advantage whatever he or she does.  It's the only explanation for so many nuts still in congress.
