Police investigator Peter Springare isn’t likely to be among those mocking President Trump for his remarks about refugees in Sweden.

Trump’s comments during a Florida campaign rally on Saturday – which some took as a misstatement about a supposed terror attack – dovetail with what Springare has been seeing during a typical week in Orebro, Sweden. Five rapes, three assaults, a pair of extortions, blackmail, an attempted murder, violence against police and a robbery made up Springare’s caseload for a five-day period earlier this month, according to a Feb. 3 Facebook post he wrote. The suspects were all from Muslim-majority countries – Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Somalia and Turkey – save for one Swedish man nabbed in a drug-related case.

“Mohammed, Mahmod, Ali, again and again,” Springare wrote of those arrested.

Springare, who is now being investigated for possible hate crime incitement based on his post, managed to elucidate what Trump only hinted at during a Florida campaign speech – somewhat opaquely.

Swedish police investigator Peter Springare is in trouble after this Facebook post went viral. (Translated for ZeroHedge.com)

“You look at what’s happening last night in Sweden,” Trump said. “Sweden. Who would believe this? Sweden. They took in large numbers. They’re having problems like they never thought possible.”

Many analysts took issue with Trump’s “last night” framing, and immediately compared the line to recent misstatements by Trump spokespeople, such as counselor Kellyanne Conway’s infamous “Bowling Green Massacre” blunder.

But Trump explained on Twitter late Sunday that he was only referring to a Fox News segment that aired on Friday night’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight” dealing with the Swedish refugee crime.

“It seems like we may be missing the point of the story, which is there has been a massive social cost associated with the refugee...

He added: “Fifty years of immigration policy is coming to flower in Europe. We’re not paying any attention. We’re not drawing any of the obvious lessons from it. It's not working. That's the real point here. ”

Trump tweeted again on Monday morning, blasting media outlets that failed to report on Sweden's migrant crime epidemic.

"Give the public a break - The FAKE NEWS media is trying to say that large scale immigration in Sweden is working out just beautifully. NOT!" Trump wrote.

My statement as to what's happening in Sweden was in reference to a story that was broadcast on @FoxNews concerning immigrants & Sweden.

This is after-the-fact rationalization that Trump, once again, is spreading misinformation. Instead of verifying, his sycophants are inventing and rationalizing.

There was no major incident in Sweden the other night. There never was.

While the words "last night" may have been a verbal blunder by Trump.... the gist of what he was alluding to re: what is going on in Sweden on any given night....was accurate.

That the real news isn't being reported due to fears of being charged with a "hate crime" isn't exactly helping the truth get out about what a disaster Sweden is dealing with now.  Those that are doing their usual nit-picking BS should perhaps take a step back and weigh the consequences of their criticism, should it ever become effective.  And while they are at it.... go stand beside the leftist Democrats.  Because that is, essentially, where they belong with their lame critique of every single word out of Trump's mouth.  Just sayin.....(as usual)....

The disaster in Sweden and other European nations is ongoing... and anyone with even half a remaining working brain cell damned well knows it.

Trump's deception, if there was any,  pales in comparison to the deception the media and European governments have been foisting on their people.

Plenty of issues in Sweden.  Just lots of willful blindness about it.

Kelly Ann could have been talking about Orlando, Fort Dix, Fort Hood, Boston, Oklahoma City (Jayna Davis) , Chattanooga or San Bernardino or even 911.   Pointing out trivial errata does not disprove that we have rampant terrorism around the world.

Is it deception?  Or.... is it just his ssdd penchant for exaggeration and embellishment and hyperbole?  Point is.... Sweden is a mess and anyone that says otherwise is the one practicing deception.

  • WE are NOT ok!

NO.  Trump was not lying!!  When are people going to learn by what's going on over in Europe --- Germany is also having a huge immigrantion problem (I posted many examples previously).  IF we do not BAN ALL immigration from areas of known terrorism we WILL be just like them ... we are a magnet to them for 2 reasons; we are a Christian nation (a reason to attack us) and we have the social perks they desire.

Mass immigration is continuing to claim victims in Sweden. Murder, assaults and rape have become everyday occurrences in this small country, with a population just short of ten million, which last year opened its doors to almost 163,000 immigrants. The latest victim is 22-year-old Alexandra Mezher. She was stabbed to death last week by a so-called unaccompanied refugee child at the asylum house where she worked.

Although the massive influx of asylum seekers has decreased drastically since January 4, when Sweden implemented border controls on the Swedish/Danish border, the people who are already here pose a giant problem to municipalities, police and citizens. The police are fighting a losing battle against street crime, as well as daily incidents at asylum houses – general disturbances that include fights, rapes and threats.

In 2016, Sweden received 28,939 asylum seekers. Sweden is a predominantly Christian country in northern Europe, and yet most asylum seekers to Sweden came from three Muslim countries in the Middle East: Syria (5,459), Afghanistan (2,969) and Iraq (2,758). Why is it that people from these three Muslim countries choose to cross Europe to come to Sweden? What is it that Sweden offers that attracts people from the other side of the world?

What Sweden provides is economic and social benefits for all who come. Sweden is a country where the state pays newly-arrived migrants to encourage them to enter the community and seek jobs. If you receive a residence permit as a refugee, quota refugee or person with "subsidiary protection," you get up to $35 (308 SEK) a day, five days a week, if you participate in a so-called "establishment plan." So, the newly arrived migrant does not even have to work to get this money; the only thing he or she needs to do is to accept the help that the Public Employment Service provides!!

Also, just like the in the U.S.  immigrants pay less (ususally free) for health care than Sweedish citizens.

In 2015, the proportion of rapes where the police actually found the suspect was 14%. This means that in 86% of the rapes, the rapist got away. The police could simply not do their job because lack of resources and poor leadership.

According to Eurostat figures from 2015, the unemployment rate among foreign nationals in Sweden was 20.1 percent, while Swedish citizens had an unemployment rate of 5.7 percent. Only three other countries in the European Union -- France, Spain and Greece -- had a higher unemployment rates among their foreign nationals than Sweden.

If it takes a guy like Trump for people to wake up and discover the truth, then so be it.     Maybe there was no other way.  The Bush approach certainly didn't work.

So you are unwilling to see or recognize ANY good that may come out of this?  He gets people talking about it.... which prompts people to research the issue and to become informed about it.... which equates to people finding out the truth about what's really going on with European "refugee" immigration.  And you don't think that's a good thing for America?   How the hell do you figure.... if so?

I call it a silver lining to the cloud that is Trump's mouth.  And I am 100% FOR anything that results in a win or a gain for the USA re: our own immigration policies.

wow that's fairly pathetic. The level of dedication to ignoring the central issues and carping about peripheral minutiae is truly appalling. Next time there is a muzz terrorist attack and the White House isn't up to the second on the death toll, the anti-Trumpster brigade will be braying and blathering about how they are "lying" and "misleading the public". Amazing lack of self-examination in this type of carping and petty sniping. Give it a REST.

Nobody really cares that you hate Trump and as far as I can tell, nobody here who voted for him really cares that others didn't. You don't have to eternally fight to prove that he is worse than Hitler so that your fragile egos are not found guilty of error by being wrong about his ability to be elected. It's part of human nature to state desires as beliefs of likelihood.

The fanaticism is getting weirder and weirder.

What planet are you living on?  Sweeden is a mess; it has nothing to do with President Trump shooting his mouth off.  He is correct. Sweeden is a disaster; though they've recently gotten a better handle on things with border control, the effects are still being felt; murders, rapes and economic chaos.
