Even Lazamataz doesn't want to hit that with Milo any more, lol

But it is sad that most seem to circle the wagons to defend this creep.

@geronl

He had to ask humblegunner's opinion before he could make up his mind.

I don't buy it, though.  During the election he said he was done with Trump half a dozen times.  And he admits he's a "huge" Milo fan.

@Bigun

I was just looking at the old picture of Milo wearing a Nazi Iron Cross...and at the tweet he sent Ben Shapiro in response to Ben thanking God for the birth of a son.  You know, the photo of the black infant captioned "Prayers because Ben had to watch his kid come out half black."

We can find plenty of excellent advocates for gun rights who are not also advocates for pederasty, along with being pieces of garbage in general.

If we're to the point where we tolerate such things in any way, just because the person happens to be saying something else we like, conservatism will have become as evil as leftism.

Milo speaks the words his fans are too gutless to say themselves. Most are anti-semitic, racist, gay and liberal. They just lack the courage to come out of their own closets and be the people they really are. So they encourage Milo and live vicariously through him and those like him.

With all that has happened in the past couple of years, I have come to realize that there is something seriously sick with the current "conservative" movement. Take a gander over at FR concerning this Milo issue to see how bad the cancer has spread.

Well, we warned that this whole mob and Trump himself would likely kill what was left of Reagan-Conservatism and rebrand it into what has become the Liberal/Alt-Right fanatics for Trump and the word 'Conservative' and what it means will forever be associated with it.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

Milo is what Laz aspires to be. Famous/popular/loved by adoring masses. But he's just a middle aged semi overweight guy that says things for attention and has his own set of people living vicariously through him. So I guess he achieved that if on a vastly smaller scale.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
   This gives me hope that the GOP does not want to rattle the Conservative cage very much, at this point we will be relegated to 'disregard' status, soon enough, again.
Had it not been for Conservatives who once again held their noses and/or voted out of fear of another Clinton administration, Trump would not have been elected. If the Dems float a candidate in 2020 who isn't racing to the bottom, they have a chance.
Despite all the disdain for Conservatives (to the definite right of Trump) in the past, maybe, just maybe some intelligence is prevailing.

Of the full spectrum of issues, I like to see them all addressed appropriately by a person who claims to be a standard bearer of Conservatism. When they only get one or two issues right, they have a long way to go. Conservatism might become evil as a label, but that would be because those claiming to be Conservative aren't--and why we should make it clear that while they might agree with us once in a while, they aren't speaking for Conservatives when they depart from Conservative  principles.

Character still counts.

I expect to see a lot of chest beating about character and principle from the very people who flushed theirs. I also expect they will be right back to saying 'principle is the problem' and bitching about anyone that wont abandon them come next election season.

They do every election like clockwork.

Most likely it's just professional jealousy.

As for Fr as a whole, since it's the dregs of the right and open libs populating the site now, it's really no surprise. It's wonderful to see their fall though. Actions have consequenses.

@Norm Lenhart

The alexa metric I would be interested to see the most for FR is, "Where do freerepublic.com's visitors go next?".

Probably some gay teen porn site.

Prior to the election, for MANY MONTHS prior to the election, several  percent came from India.

Where they go now? I'd guess back to the leftist sites many of them came from to report on their trolling. Pretty much what a couple FR rejects got caught doing/did/do here.

Conservatives have a mental block that the left isn't infiltrated to the hilt into the sites they frequent. That mistake has ruined many conservative outlets.

Sorry, but I see a bit of hypocrisy here.

Made a big deal that Leftists in Berkley, California wouldn't allow Milo Yiannopoulus to speak at a scheduled event.

What's the difference if you do it an hour before the show.....or do it a week prior.

The decision to riot/withdraw invitation is due to the same reason.

Somebody doesn't like what he's saying.

One thinks they're demonstrating their moral high ground by setting fires and breaking glass and heads.   While the Left uses brawn, the Right simply cancels, claiming to allow somebody to speak, who defend such a lifestyle, would go against CPAC's mission statement/foundation.

To be fair, Alexa hasn't been a good metric to follow for a while, especially for forums. Their primary way of tracking hits was through the use of toolbar add-ons for browsers, most of which people don't use any more and current browsers often won't even accept. They also stopped indexing forums in the same way as other websites which killed traffic to a lot of sites. There also is some number manipulation questions about them. Back in 2012. they suddenly stopped indexing a lot of Conservative sites. Like, completely stopped. You could look at the charts for Drudge, Fox, FR, this site, almost every Conservative site you can think of, and they all showed the exact same drop to almost zero the same week while liberal sites like DU and Huffpo continued their expected trend lines. We had a huge thread on it way back then as members were watching it happen in real time.

Since what he's saying is pro Pedobear, is it surprising that many choose not to be associated with that? He might not have that speech planned for CPAC, but his belief hasn't changed and it's disgusting.

The hypocrisy is in so called conservatives enabling pedophilia by giving cred to Milo at so called conservative forums like CPAC.

Are you seriously defending pederasty/pedophilia here?

Until this video was uncovered, as obnoxious as Milo can be sometimes, I don't think ACU or CPAC had any reason to believe that he thought well of something that is almost universally considered a major crime on par with rape, if not worse.

So, what you seem to be implying here, is that the ACU is hypocrites because they refuse to let a pedophile enabler use their stage and represent their organization. All the while I seem to remember you preaching about how Hillary Clinton was a sexual predator enabler; should the ACU be forced to have her speak at CPAC?

Maybe, but unless their metrics changed over the last couple years, it's still apples to apples using only their stats. FR tanked hard. I have kept an aye on them since Romney and their rise and fall went lockstep with Romney-then-Trump's popularity prior to the election and went into freefall after the elections were over. That aligns with most casual political types going back to their lives for another 3.5 years so I'd think that was fairly accurate overall.

I do, however, wonder what prompted this video to come out now, who leaked it, and why.

The thing is, as people that live and work around gay men all the time, they are well aware of 'grooming'. They know full well that it's a common thing amongst gay men and especially among wealthy or famous gay men.
