CNN: Kasich, Trump to Sit Down For Long Overdue Meeting

John Kasich, the Ohio governor who has been one of Donald Trump's stronger critics in the GOP party, is set to meet with the president this Friday, CNN reports.

Details of the agenda were not made public and a Kasich adviser told CNN that the White House didn't offer a schedule. A senior administration official also told CNN the sit-down will be with Trump, Kasich and possibly Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and that the meeting is long overdue.

Apparently, Kasich is worried that the federal government will stop the Medicaid subsidies that were part of ObamaCare.

I'm not sure why that would bother him.  For year, Kasich has been telling anyone who would listen that he's a great manager who knows how to balance budgets.  Okay -- then why not simply have Ohio finance the Medicaid expansion itself?  Figure out how much money it would cost, go to the voters, and ask them to support it on a statewide basis.

How could he possibly object to that?
