The world's first transgender doll was rolled out during the American International Toy Fair in New York City over the weekend.

The doll, which is inspired by American teenager Jazz Jennings, is an 18-inch limited edition doll dressed in a pink top and jean shorts, just like Jennings on the cover of her 2016 memoir "Being Jazz: My Life as a (Transgender) Teen."

The doll is manufactured by New York-based Tonner Doll Company that specialises in collectible fashion dolls, including TV, reality, comic and film characters like Harry Potter, Wonder Woman and now Jennings.
