LIVINGSTON COUNTY, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - Police are searching for two men who reportedly went missing Saturday morning while they went snowmobiling near Conesus Lake.

Police say they found snowmobile tracks leading from a house on the lake out onto the ice. Livingston County Sheriff, Thomas Daugherty said, "It's an adult male in his forties. He was with his friend who is also an adult male roughly forty years of age."

As darkness fell Sunday night, police had to suspend the search for safety reasons, but will pick back up during the week.

Stop taking risks, urge OPP
The latest series of incidents brings to 13 the number of snowmobile fatalities this winter, compared to eight deaths at this point last season.  https://www.sootoday.com/local-news/snowmobile-safety-533364

So, not to overdo the snowmobile angle but, it seems worth a mention.
