Fox News anchor Shepard Smith took a swipe at President Donald Trump and his assertion that the news media frequently under reports radical Islamic terror attacks.

Smith, a critic of the president, listed several terror attacks that were on the White House’s list of the attacks it believes weren’t reported properly and said that Fox News covered them extensively.

“The president’s assertion is false. The White House knows that it was false or could have known that it was false with a quick Google check, but either did not do so or decided not to tell the truth,” he said.

Trump caught in yet another lie, so his minions call for censorship of any criticism.

Do we really have to endure this pattern nearly daily for four years?

Shep Smith seems to have contempt for everyone.  Trump shouldn't take it personally.

The last time I watched Smith was his "coverage" of Katrina.  I didn't really have an opinion of him until then, when I lost all respect for his journalistic skills.

Yes, I believe so.  Trump thrives on constant controversy and the attention it brings him.  It's the ultimate ego stroke. 

And his followers love it too.

Shep Smith is just as big a jerk in person as he is on air.  I know this because he visited our town once and I  had a little run in with him.

Its a bit over the top to characterize Trumps comment as a lie. Whether or not the media over or under reports an event is an entirely subjective matter.

As to your second point, I couldn't agree more. When are we going to accept the hand we've been dealt and stop directing fire at our own side?

What is Smith? Is he supposed to be a news reader or a commentator? I thought he was just a news reader prone to making personal (and stupid) statements from time to time about news events. In which case if I was in charge, I couldn't fire him fast enough.
