Ex-Obama Official: Conway Broke Law by Promoting Ivanka's Line

That's an understatement. As discussed on the other thread, Trump probably did too.

She is promoting vaginas. And I agree. I am very, very, very, very much pro-vagina. I have never met a vagina I didn't love. I mean I seriously love vaginas.
The more women, the better.

I support more vaginas in Washington DC. But I have to recuse myself, I am a big supporter of more women anywhere.

Hell yes women bring it on. But I want you to know how beautiful you are when you're angry. I love you.

Is this White House immune from the same Ethics and Business Conduct Laws the rest of us have to adhere to?  Makes me wonder if they are clueless that these laws exist, or do think they are above the law now?

Its almost like he's trying to get impeached.

I said I thought Trump would be impeached in 2 years.  I think I might be wrong....he may not last 6 months.....

Careful, or you'll be getting an Epic Orange Wedgie soon enough!

But yes, Trump doesn't think those laws apply to him; after all, this is how he's done business all his life as a NYC real estate developer.

Geez.....it's not like she's doing half-hour infomercials in the middle of the night hawking non-stick pans.

(gotta pee...gotta pee)

An off the cuff playful remark rebuttal to any question on the subject is now breaking the law to the in-forum rabid Trump haters.

...who look more each day, as the Japanese soldier discovered decades later defending his WWII outpost in the middle of the jungle.

...but I digress.

Well...come to think of it.... that would be 'one' way to taint the Republican Party for decades to come.  Maybe even better than just handing the presidency to Hillary.  (there goes that conspiracy theory thinking again....)

However, I do think that Trump's ego would never allow that taint to reach himself, personally, via any impeachment.   So, no.  I don't think it will happen.   I think he will continue to push the envelope, aggravate his opponents, unnerve Republicans and make outrageous comments and thus, keep himself front and center in the news.  His persona demands it.

You know...during the campaign he kept himself in the news daily...like you say.  I expected him to take a quieter approach to the presidency....but I think you are right.  His persona demands that he be in the headlines daily if not hourly.  I agree with a lot of what he's done to this point...but geez...I'm sick of seeing him on the news...and the friggen Twitter tweets....it's getting old really fast.

Not outraged at all.  You're right there are bigger fish to fry...someone needs to let the POTUS know that too.

But outraged?  LOL! far from it.  Nice try though.

a couple of off-the-cuff remarks hardly passes the smell test for violating the original intent of the law.

Some of you would bitch if they hung you with a brand new rope.

True enough.  It was just another typically stupid comment from Trump's inner circle.

Another being spokesman Sean Spicer's comment that by dropping Ivanka's clothing line, Nordstrom had engaged in a 'direct attack' on Trump's policies....

The Democrats don't even have to make this stuff up themselves.

OOPS!

White House's Jay Carney shills wife's book in briefing

Quote
During a press briefing, Jay Carney, the White House press secretary, on Wednesday was conveniently able to slip in a plug about his wife Claire Shipman's book, "Womenomics: Write Your Own Rules for Success," when answering a reporter's question about whether President Obama's push for overtime pay will help women.

Carney said that he only brought up the book since it helped him know more about the subject.

Journalists in the room laughed when the reference came up, asking Carney if the book is available on Amazon, which he confirmed.

So we take Jay Carney's lead as to what is the right thing to do?

Oh good Lord.  Here I thought all this time the other side was the nutty group.  Boy was I wrong. :thud:

There are plenty of conservative nuts.   I've met a bunch of them over the years,   but even as nutty as they are,  they still mostly have the basics right.

I actually did this the other day.  I needed a pair of navy blue pumps for my sons wedding anyway so I went to Amazon and found a pair of her shoes for a really good price.  I mainly bought them to annoy all the liberals at the wedding.  I hate wearing heels of any kind because they hurt my feet but I could hardly wear tennis shoes.  Anyway, they are attractive.  Hopefully I'll be able to wear them for more than 5 minutes.

Her shoes and bags are really pretty. I hope you have a wonderful time at your son's wedding.

P.S. break them in before the big day so they won't hurt so much, and you can dance! @beandog
