During a press briefing, Jay Carney, the White House press secretary, on Wednesday was conveniently able to slip in a plug about his wife Claire Shipman's book, "Womenomics: Write Your Own Rules for Success," when answering a reporter's question about whether President Obama's push for overtime pay will help women.


Carney said that he only brought up the book since it helped him know more about the subject.

Journalists in the room laughed when the reference came up, asking Carney if the book is available on Amazon, which he confirmed.

There are plenty of conservative nuts.   I've met a bunch of them over the years,   but even as nutty as they are,  they still mostly have the basics right.

I actually did this the other day.  I needed a pair of navy blue pumps for my sons wedding anyway so I went to Amazon and found a pair of her shoes for a really good price.  I mainly bought them to annoy all the liberals at the wedding.  I hate wearing heels of any kind because they hurt my feet but I could hardly wear tennis shoes.  Anyway, they are attractive.  Hopefully I'll be able to wear them for more than 5 minutes.

Her shoes and bags are really pretty. I hope you have a wonderful time at your son's wedding.

P.S. break them in before the big day so they won't hurt so much, and you can dance! @beandog
