Trump thwarted: 100 Syrians 'rushed in' over just 2 days
Washington Examiner, Feb 7, 2017, Paul Bedhard

Since President Trump's immigration restrictions on seven nations were sidelined by a federal judge last weekend, the State Department has rushed in 100 Syrians, according to a report.

From February 5 to February 7, 15 Syrian refugees were sent to New York, 10 to Virginia, 9 to Texas, and the rest to 11 other states, according to State Department numbers posted by Refugee Resettlement Watch.

Trump's executive orders temporarily stopped refugees and others from Syria and six other nations from coming into the U.S. The goal was to set up an "extreme vetting" process in the meantime.

Those let into the United States were vetted by the United Nations. The process for Syrians has been criticized due to the lack of background information from the country, which the U.S. is at war with.

"100 Syrians have been rushed in here between 2/5 (Sunday) and 2/7 (early this a.m.)," said the refugee watch website. "The bureaucrats at [State] are still running the show apparently! Imagine the hustling that must have gone on at the UN, at IOM and in the Department of State on Sunday getting these Syrians on planes!"
