Maybe can have? They're going to have to dig up The Bern's corpse for that to happen. He's about 108 right now.

And...He'd still look better than Hillary.

Bernie's swaying back and forth like he was a kid who had to run to the bathroom while Ted was speaking was equally annoying.

Bernie wants to expand Obamacare making it into a socialistic program while Cruz wants to shut down Obamacare and implement a plan letting the free markets take over.   I haven't researched if Bernie actually has drafted  his own plan, but I know Cruz has.

My husband and I were laughing at Bernie's meandering about the stage while Cruz was speaking, and hubby mentioned a couple of times that he looked like he needed a potty break.

Cruz was well-prepared with concrete facts, figures, and suggestions.  All Bernie had was repeated cries of "what if you get sick tomorrow??" and vague anecdotes along the lines of "I've talked to plenty of doctors in Vermont and they say their patients [blah blah blah]".

On the bright side, I learned last night that "being a woman is a pre-existing condition".  That's going to cheese off the pro-transgender crowd.

Sanders didn't look good attacking a business owner who couldn't afford to insure her employees or herself. No compassion, just tough noogies for the employees she would have to fire to pay for insurance and tough noogies that she can't grow her business.

Cruz showed his typical compassion even for those who falsely claimed they would be dead if not for Obamacare.

Agreed -- that was a really bad exchange for Sanders.  The woman was saying she can't afford to pay for insurance for herself, never mind her employees, and Sanders could only come back with 'well, you SHOULD pay for their insurance!'

Cruz is taking some heat for his response 'congratulating' the woman with MS, but anyone with a brain understood that he was congratulating her on getting treatment and managing her disease.  Given that my best friend has MS, I thought it was a really nice response.

Bernie didn't get five words into his opening statement before the lies started!  Something about the poor not being able to get healthcare!  Total lie!  Even prior to the ACA there was NO ONE who couldn't get healthcare when they really needed it!
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

I can't speak for hospitals elsewhere, but local hospitals where I live will treat anyone who walks through the door, regardless of their insurance status or whether they can pay.   There are no "county hospitals" for the poor, while those with means go to the better hospitals.  Hospitals will try to work out something if you can't afford care.  Some have charitable foundations to help pay for care or provide free care. These hospitals also have free or low cost clinics and wellness centers in poor neighborhoods.

There is no reason, other than stupidity and laziness, why anyone can't get care if or when or even before they need it.  This so-called crisis where those who can't afford it die because there is no care available is as phony as a $3 bill.

Yes, and the Bernies of the world have convinced people that they would not be able to cope without "health insurance" AND convinced them that health insurance = health care.

Same in my area in fact there are signs hanging in the Emergency Rooms that no one will be denied care based on there ability to pay or lack of insurance.  Illegals by the way use the ER as their primary care physician!

Gateway Pundit found, the email is from a Gmail account as you can see from the top of the paper. The subject line reads “Your Question,” as the two photographs below show.

A number of people on Twitter also made the same observation, with some speculating that CNN fed her the question.

In my area, there are "surgical centers".  I suspect this is done so that they intentionally do not have an ER.

Does anyone know the number of people who don't have insurance because if the ACA? I can't seem to find any data.

Dunno but I'd wager far far more than those who directly benefitted from ACA.

BTW I'm one of those who lost their policy. I lost three, in fact.

It's the LAW!  Or at least it was before ACA!

Health care and health insurance are two entirely separate things!

@Cripplecreek

I rewound and watched the exchange between Sanders and the salon owner twice.  First of all, he couldn't get anything straight---not her name, nor the number of salons she owned (it was five, he said one).  But he never gave her a single answer to her question.

What he did do was shrug--I saw it--and tell her tough crap, give them insurance even if it ruins you.

He asked her a question after that, and she answered it.  Personally I would have told him I would respond after he answered my previous questions, and not before.

@CatherineofAragon, I thought that exchange was particularly enlightening.  If anyone was still thinking of Bernie as a kindly old curmudgeon, that should have resolved that issue once and for all.

Right?  He was openly callous about her concerns.  Sanders really revealed his true self last night.

I lost my employer-based health care. First of 2015. Due to several other factors besides my health, we can't afford it right now.

You can't afford insurance for yourself or your loved ones; yet, you are paying so some lazy lump can get his sex change operation or drug rehab.  That frosts me to no end.

We can get a subsidy, but STILL can't afford it. Not right now.

Two more examples.

One co-worker, single, has been paying for a catastrophic policy. He told me with the rate increase he is dropping it. As of now, his out of pocket health care is affordable. but that kind of policy doesn't help there anyway.

Another co-worker and his wife, who also works, just bought a house last year. He told me with the increase in their policy they don't know if they can keep it.

I suppose for all the people helped by Obamacare, there are far more who have been ruined by it.

And where do I find those stats? I took a quick look this morning before work. nada. If anyone runs across it, please send it my way. I have a feeling it is like the reporting of unemployment figures.
